Cut-off testing: event before journal date
Cut-off follows control transfer or service receipt, not invoice or journal date. Test populations before and after period-end from independent records and connect contract, dispatch, arrival and inventory. Correct all affected accounts and assess cause and spread even if the misstatement later reverses.
